Roy Powell Security has been a locally owned and operated security firm in the Mackay region since 2004.
With more than 40 years’ experience in security services in the Mackay region, our consultants are up-to-date with the latest systems to provide better, protective solutions to your home or business.
Managing Director Roy Powell has had more than 23 years in the security industry, operating as a sole trader in security systems from 1998 before starting Roy Powell Security (RPS).
RPS is now run by Roy’s son Anthony Powell and his wife Kelli.
Anthony has been in the security industry since he was 16 and is a qualified electrician and data technician, bringing a well-rounded set of experience to the company.
RPS pride themselves on being the leading suppliers of security systems and solutions, keeping up to date and knowledgeable about the latest products and brands in the industry and passing that knowledge on to customers.

RPS has grown substantially and now employs 15 staff including field and office staff, all local to the Mackay region.
Our commitment to safety
Roy Powell Security regularly engages independent trainers to carry out safety instructions for all new and existing employees.
All RPS staff have the required competencies including working at heights training, high risk training, EWP training, LVR/CPR. RPS also offer a 24-hour call service to offer added support to clients.
